Martine Grael & Kahena Kunze in the 49erFX and Santiago Lange & Cecilia Saroli finish off the past few weeks of racing with power. A medal is a personal achievement of a lifetime but the effect that this has on a local sailing community is even greater.
Magic Marine partners with teams who excel not only in sailing ability but also in character and the ability to inspire the future sailors.. Sailing is a complex sport and Magic Marine is constantly in search for ambassadors who support and work on the growth of the sport just as Magic Marine does in all of the plans. Heroes are the motivation for all to push harder and to “never give up”. These role models are shaping our future heroes.
Martine comes from a family of sailors in which her father is one of the most renowned Brazilian sailors with 5 Olympic medals. Martine is following his footsteps or better yet, ready to surpass him with her first Gold medal at the age of 25. The Grael family motivates young sailors to follow their dreams, to enjoy the water and to show the people of South America that they can win amongst the best.
Santiago has his own rich sailing history as he has now competed in six Olympic games. Santiago has been battling a race for his life but this has made him strong. He literally fought out on the water and now can add a Gold medal to his titles. This personal battle gives the sailing community the feeling of “If he can sail with only one lung and at this old age, then I can do it too.” He is a hero for pushing through and learning how to utilize his surroundings to build strength.
The crews, Kahena & Cecilia are the rocks that keep these teams on track. They are the “heroes” on the boat standing proud even when their names are forgotten.
Magic Marine would like to congratulate all teams as our “heroes” who motivate us to continue to make the best products on the market. Whether the sailor races in wooden boats or foiling catamarans; the sport is beautiful in any way you look at it. The brand is driven by sailors, for sailors and is pushed by all that the water offers to us, as sailors. Rain, snow, wind or sun; we are 'Driven by the Elements'.
