From 6-11 August 2013 in Zelenogorsk (St. Petersburg), Russia hosted the second championship in the class yachts ORC Sportboat. Organizers - marina "Terijoki" and the St. Petersburg Sailing Union.
The championship was held during the Great St. Petersburg Sailing Week. The event is included in the official calendar of Russian Sailing Federation, the Congress of Maritime racing ORC, and in the list of the most important sport events held in St. Petersburg in 2013. Competitions are held in the Finish Gulf, to the west of Kronstadt, behind the dike defenses, with the main homebase - yacht port "Terijoki" (Zelenogorsk). There have been 4 short and 2-route races.
RUSSIAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN YACHT CLASS ORC SPORTBOAT 2013 collected 14 crews representing different regions of the country and abroad (St. Petersburg, Moscow, Arkhangelsk, Taganrog, Bryansk, Kotka (Finland), Ukraine). Winners were yacht "Quartet" ( St. Petersburg), "NAVIS" (Moscow-St.Petersburg) and "SIMBA" (Taganrog-Moscow-Bryansk.) The total number of participants was more than 70 people.
MAGIC MARINE became a partner for the first time of the Russian Championship in the yachts class ORC Sportboat 2013 on behalf of official distributor in Russia «I & A Banayan» and provided prizes for 1st place, as well as certificates for the purchase of products to all the winners. On the last day of the competition August 11, 2013 there was held a "race to the sponsors and journalists," in which the company MAGIC MARINE together with the crew of the yacht "NAVIS" took 1st place. The participants noted the high level of organization of the race and almost perfect venue for such rank of the event.
ORC yachts of length up to 8 m - are yachts, close to the "quater" but modernized with current trends in yacht building.
