While the whole world is enjoying their deserved summer (or winter) holidays a lot of sailors are competing in many different events somewhere around the world.
The Magic Marine Optimist Europeans in Pwllheli, United Kingdom enjoyed tough conditions with 500 competitors sailed some excited races with great results. Aimilianos Monos from Greece and Julia Minana from Spain took the European titles home, congratulations!
In the different RS classes there where some prizes to divide. The Sailservice Magic Marine RS500 and RS Tera Worlds took place at Aquavitesse in the Netherlands. Typical Dutch storms made it difficult on the first days to start races during the RS Tera Worlds, but the RS500 were more lucky with the weather conditions with a nice warm breeze during the week. We have enjoyed a nice increase in the number of RS sailors which makes Magic Marine a proud partner of the different RS classes.
Continuing in the Netherlands, Medemblik is the host city of the 29’er Europeans, the Contender Worlds, the Laser 4.7 Worlds and the Laser Radial and Standard Worlds U21. A variety of competitive events with a lot of talented sailors in different age categories.
Not only the younger generation is battling against each other at the regatta’s, also the top of the Olympic field was racing at the Olympic Test event in Rio de Janeiro exactly one year before the Olympics kick off. We followed in full excitement to see the results and progression of our Magic Marine team riders!
The event season isn’t over yet, in the upcoming weeks we have some exciting events ahead for instance the Optimist Worlds in Poland and the Moth Europeans in Lelystad. We wish every single competitor all the best in the regatta’s they are sailing during the season!!
