We’re proud to announce that the worldwide Magic Marine Family is growing with the arrival of Belgium Laser Radial sailor Emma Plasschaert. As former World Champion and winner of the Enoshima Test Event Emma can be called one of the top sailors in the Laser Radial fleet.
The current road to Tokyo 2020NE will be the first milestone in the collaboration between Emma and Magic Marine. With special Olympic Gear we will support Emma the best way we can towards Tokyo. But also after this exciting year our journey together will continue!
Not only Emma’s results from the past are a trigger to add her to the team, also her spirit and attitude perfectly fit the Magic Marine philosophy where we believe in building on long term relationships and working together to achieve more.
Emma Plasschaert: “I am very excited to join the team, the close knit community attracted me to the brand. They take both sides into account and work closely with the sailors to improve the gear and work to optimal performances. Besides that sailing is in its nature a very non feminine sport, Magic Marine make a change here with feminine and colourful designs that make me want to put my wetsuit on! I can’t wait to get to know the other team riders and look forward to a sustainable and long term partnership!”
More than Magic
Magic Marine believes in the power of a family feeling, trust and interaction to become a better version of yourself. Linda Bomhof, Team Manager of Team Magic Marine explains; “We are very proud to add Emma to our team, we have a relatively small group of sailors but we work closely together with all of them. Results are definitely not the only thing we search for in new talents, you need to fit the team as a person.”
“With the family feeling we’ve created in our business we see how strong we are, and this is exactly what we try to transfer to our team riders. We make them part of our big family and have trust in them, also when they are in a less successful season. With the stories and experiences of our sailors, and from now on also from Emma, we are able to constant develop our collection and grow with the needs of our sailors.”
